Lundwood and Monkbretton Community Partnership

Formed in 1998 the partnerships covers the communities 
of Lundwood, Monkbretton, Hoyle Mill, and parts of 
Smithies.

The Partnerships aims are the:

Relief of poverty
Relief of unemployment
The advancement of Education and Training
The Maintenance, improvement or provision of public 
amenities
The protection, Conservation of the Environment
The Promotion and Preservation of Health 

The current activities of the Partnership are, 
Target Hardening Project. A project sponsored by 
Bernaslai Homes, to improve the security of council 
owner properties within the area.
Public Theatre Project. Addressing the issues around 
Racism. Giving performances to local community groups 
within the area.

The North Barnsley Partnership covers an area of 
Monkbretton to the north of the Lundwood and 
Monkbretton Partnership area.
