Royston and Carlton Community Partnership
Formed in 1994 to cover the whole communities of
Royston and Carlton. The community is situated to the
North of Barnsley town centre covering a total of 11950
residents.
The Partnerships mission statement is ‘to ensure the
sustainability of the communities of Royston and Carlton
socially and economically, so that their citizens can
enjoy a quality of life, which fulfils their needs and
aspirations into the future’
Membership of the Partnership is draw from
representatives of the local community, residents,
community organisations, public bodies and local
businesses, together with local elected representatives.
The partnership works with a wide range of partners to
deliver many social and environmental projects within
the area.

The Grove
The partnership also give assistance and support to the
many voluntary groups within the community such as
Sports Clubs, Neighbourhood Watch Schemes, Tenants
and Residents Association and many more.
The North Barnsley Partnership covers the whole of the
Royston and Carlton’s 11950 resident’s.
